Black Lives Pioneering

Hello World!
Congratulations Stephanie Travers!

As you will find on the link below;
History was made on July 12 when Stephanie Travers, a Petronas trackside fluid engineer, became the first Black woman to stand on a Formula 1 podium. Driver Lewis Hamilton brought her up to the podium following his win at the Styrian Grand Prix in Austria and later highlighted her achievement in a powerful Instagram post that makes plain what the moment really means.
"I wanted to post this because it's such an important moment," wrote Hamilton, a six-time Formula 1 champion who's been an advocate for Black Lives Matter. "On Sunday, [Stephanie] became the first black woman to stand on the podium in Formula 1 history. This is an amazing achievement and I just wanted to acknowledge her for her hard work, positivity, and passion for her job."

I love it that is highlights Diversity Inclusion STEM and Living the Life you want to live. It highlights the friends, mentors, and supporters along the way that help us get further than we would on our own. It shows that when we dream it, we can do it.

Unity

Hello World,
We are in crazy times with pandemics, awareness of ongoing racial inequity, and the realization of a new normal. (Me personally, I've started a new job and stepped away to dedicate my time to that). It is easy to be hopeless. It is easy to feel like nothing we do matters. It is not easy to keep trying for unity, for collaboration, for connection. But we must. We must do whatever we can, however small it seems. We must reach out to each other. It is in our humanity, in collaboration with other humans, we will find peace, prosperity, and the future we desire.
